Layered gerbera

Gerbera flowers, a signature motif in Tsukino Kaeru’s work, are reimagined in a rich spectrum of colors.
A layered structure, composed of mirrors and acrylic sheets, is built upon a gerbera-shaped base.
The reflective properties of the mirror and the transparency of the acrylic create an illusion of layers that seem to exist yet remain ethereal.
The way individual flowers unite to form a larger whole mirrors the intricate relationship between cells and living organisms.
I designed gerbera flowers in a variety of colors, as frequently featured in Tsukino Kaeru’s works.
The artwork is built on a gerbera-shaped support structure, incorporating layers of mirrors and acrylic sheets.
Through the reflectivity of the mirror and the transparency of the acrylic, an illusionary depth is created—layers that appear to exist yet are not truly there.
The structure, in which each small flower comes together to form a larger whole, evokes the relationship between **cells and living organisms**.
